Rosenheim land
The surrounding area also has a lot to offer: The beautiful mountain
scenery of the “Oberbayern” (South Bavaria) alps invites you to take an
excursion to the mountains (Wendelstein) for hiking and to skiing
(Sudelfeld) or to enjoy some water-sports on nearby lakes (Chiemsee is
only a 25 min. drive). For more information about Rosenheim enter

tips for all your needs.
Chiemsee- Wasserburg- Wendelstein
In the Rosenheim country, half way between Munich and Salzburg, there are
many things to experience: In this famed Bavarian alpine setting, an
extensive array of leisure activities awaits our guests throughout the
year for many memorable days or weeks.

Whether you enjoy -water sports, hiking, bicycling, or following in the
footsteps of the Bavarian fairytale king, you could also try some less
usual sports such as hang gliding or glider flying. For guests who do not
wish to climb a tall mountain, there are also more comfortable options for
ascending: The rack railway (German’s finest) up to the Wendelstein, a
cable car “climb” to the Hochries or up the Kampenwand.
After all these activities the region’s “gemuetliche” restaurants will
invite you to relax. In 1611, the capitol-city Rosenheim was nicknamed
“Bavaria’s Rosegarden” by Matthias Widmann. Today the city along the river
Inn is a pulsating centre for events and shopping and also the exhibition
capital of South Bavaria.

Wasserburg, a water-castle nestled in a loop of the river Inn, is known
throughout Europe as a top-attraction.
With every step you will be greeted by magnificent architecture and
cultural history. The tourist areas “Chiemsee” and “Wendelstein” are among
the “Oberbayern” (South Bavaria) retreat areas with the oldest tradition.
The ever-present draw of the mountains, lakes and the Bavarian way-of-life
creates the perfect setting for conferences and vacations for body and
soul in our hectic time. |
